x = 獨立組織的活動
秉持發掘與傳播創新 IDEAs 的精神，TEDx 是一個由當地社群自主發起的活動計畫，旨在讓人們齊聚一堂，共同體驗 TED 式的交流與啟發。在 TEDx 活動 中，TED Talks 影片與現場講者相互結合，激發深入討論與連結。這些由社群自發組織的本地活動統稱為 TEDx，其中 x 代表「獨立組織的 TED 活動」。雖然 TED 大會（TED Conference）為 TEDx 計畫 提供基本指導方針，但每場 TEDx 活動皆由當地團隊獨立策劃與運營。（須遵守特定規範與準則。）
About TEDx,
x = independently organized event
In the spirit of discovering and spreading ideas, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
獨立組織的城市級 TEDx 活動
TEDxTaichung 的前身為 TEDxDadun，由一群充滿熱情的志願者無償發起，自 2015 年起開始舉辦跨領域的 TEDx 標準活動（Standard Event）。憑藉斐然的成果，我們在 2021 年升級為以所在地「台中」為名的城市級活動。2023 年，TEDxTaichung 更榮獲全球僅有 19 名的 TED 獎學金，前往美國參與盛會。如今，我們更是擁有了自我成長主題的 TEDx Women，以及與全球一同響應 TED 大會的 TEDx Live 等等。我們仍堅持突破、不斷向前。

我們相信所有的改變源於行動。IDEAs 開拓了人們的視野，讓人們意識到新的選擇，而行動則讓我們改變，讓自己成為曾經心目中的「改變力量」。
因此，TEDxTaichung 不僅是傳播知識、經驗與嶄新思維，分享無數富有價值的願景和理念，更是在啟發並鼓舞著大眾，點燃人們的行動力和「改變」的火花，改變世界。
